Our history.

The Leaders Institute was founded in 2007 by Stephanie Clark, who serves as our Chief Executive Officer. Since 2007, the Leaders Institute has been dedicated to developing the next generation of ethical, service-oriented leaders. Founded as a nonprofit, the Institute was created in response to a growing need for an organization where young people could discover, develop, and practice their leadership competencies in a supportive, values-driven environment.

Our mission is to serve as an ethics-based leadership incubator for student leaders from all backgrounds. We believe that every young person—regardless of socioeconomic status or identity—should have the opportunity to unlock their leadership potential and rise to meet the challenges of their communities and the world.

From its inception, the Leaders Institute has been grounded in the philosophy that leadership is not just about achievement, but about service, responsibility, and ethical action. Our programs are designed to empower students to believe in themselves, serve others, and strive for excellence in all they do.

Over the years, the Institute has grown to reach students at every stage of their educational journey, from middle school to college internships.
