S.J. Petteway Family Leadership & Scholarship Program of Waterbury, CT.
The S. J. Petteway Family, Leadership & Scholarship Program of Waterbury, CT. named in honor of Rev. Stanley and Juanita Petteway, is a partnership with Leaders Institute and Zion Baptist Church of Waterbury CT. The program provides leadership training and a college scholarship to qualifying youth of Waterbury, CT and surrounding areas.
The program plays tribute to the legacy of the late Rev. S.P. Petteway and Juanita Petteway of Waterbury, CT. Rev. Dr. S.P. Petteway, was a staunch advocate for education and civic engagement, while Mrs. Juanita Petteway, had a profound love for people.
Each student will participate in a series of leadership sessions with local community leaders and then design a community service leadership project to effect positive change in Waterbury, CT.
